Drawing on our individual and combined skills and experience, Saltarello caters workshops to each individual brief and specific environment, taking into account age, setting, intended experience and outcome. We are equipped to deliver informative, fun, creative and inclusive musical workshops. Saltarello uses the recorder, percussion, singing and other media, in addition to our extensive musical knowledge and experience. We enjoy bringing music to life and have a passion for music education.

Saltarello have also worked and collaborated with other artists including instrumentalists, composers, arts practitioners and childcare professionals.

We have worked with Kirsten and Heidi on a number of occasions at Tate Britain drawing on their versatile musical skills to draw out aspects of Tate Britain's Collection of paintings from 16th to 21st Century. They devised a particularly imaginative workshop with children of 5… always child centred in their approach to learning and thinking imaginatively about the relationship between art and music. They are informative, playful and sensitive to children and parents.

Matilda Pye, Tate Britain Curator, Sure Start

It was a real pleasure to work with Saltarello Ensemble on a series of family music workshops around the music of Handel. They created a really lovely session... their enthusiasm and love of music really shines through and encourages the participants.
